1. Information we collect
From customers. Name, phone number (usually WhatsApp), optional email, location (city and suburb), and the details of your service request: project type, urgency, scope.
From suppliers. Company name, contact person, phone, email, business address, service areas, categories, years trading, team size, and verification documents.
Automatically. Browser type, device info, IP address, pages visited, referral source, captured via standard analytics.
2. How we use it
We use the information collected to:
- Match customers with relevant suppliers
- Share customer contact details with suppliers who accept a lead
- Process credit purchases and transactions
- Send notifications via WhatsApp and email (lead confirmations, supplier matches, account updates)
- Improve the platform
- Prevent fraud and enforce our terms
3. When we share information
Customer to supplier. When a supplier accepts your lead, they receive your name, phone number, optional email, and location. This sharing is essential to the service.
Supplier profiles. Company name and general info appear publicly. Personal contact details of supplier staff do not.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
We share data with our service providers (hosting, analytics, payment processing) under strict data-protection agreements.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored on Google Firebase with encryption in transit and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised team members on a need-to-know basis.
No system is 100% secure. Please protect your account credentials.
5. Retention
Customer lead data is retained for 12 months after submission, then anonymised. Supplier account data is retained for the duration of the account plus six months. Transaction records are kept for three years for accounting and legal compliance.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations)
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

7. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to maintain session state, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand platform usage. Analytics data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some platform features may not work without them.
8. Children's privacy
Tenda is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we discover we have, we delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated by email.
